Inside Office for Mac 2011

What will you make out of Microsoft Office Mac 2011? Will you start using it? Or would you rather use Windows and use Office 2010? In any case, there are improvements in 2011 that were not in its 2008 version. Office for Mac almost always gets compared to Windows, but it is not accurate to compare them side by side. Microsoft has developed many of the same apps so they would be parallel to one another, but this isn’t true by y a hundred per cent.

This time around, however certain things may bridge the gap. For instance, Entourage is now replaced with Outlook.

As a result, there is a more user-friendly interface and you may enjoy it more than its predecessor.  Of course, there is no Microsoft Access in 2011, so you may need to revert to Windows instead of this suite if you need that program.

Office 2011 has much faster speed than 2008. Office Mac, this time around loads much better than its previous iteration and even the UI is more attractive. A lot of users may simply be interested in its basic features but there are a lot of high end features that as of 2011, only Windows had. An example would be macros. Microsoft, however has been taking into consideration the sensibilities of Apple users. A lot of Mac users have been using iWork and it has interfaced well with Microsoft apps.

Some people may still stick to the Mac productivity suite instead of Office 2011. Even so, there are a lot of wonderful features in Office Mac 2011. Excel, for instance – allows you to create very distinct work sheets.  You can upload a spreadsheet to the Web so that you can collaborate with other people and you can use the Visual Basic for automated processes. PowerPoint allows you to create better presentations. There are a lot more choices for colors this time around and you can create webcasts for conference calls. PowerPoint 2011 is a lot more dynamic than previous versions.

In the end, it all depends on what you believe is best for you. There are a lot of features that Office 2011 can offer you, but perhaps you would prefer Office 2010 first? That version has the Backstage view, a more organized version of the file menu. Examine what your needs and preferences are and go ahead and get Microsoft Office Mac if you feel it would suit your requirements.
